Charles is a native of the beautiful island of Barbados in the Caribbean. He and his family migrated to Canada in 2004. Charles is a compassionate, empathetic individual who has lived through struggle and hardships yet has emerged stronger from the experiences.
He earned a BA (Hons.) Theology from Andrews University; a master of Theological studies at Wilfred Laurier University and a Master of Social Work from King's University College. He is an ordained minister and Prepare Enrich-pre-marital counseling-facilitator.
He is a board-Certified Chaplain with the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy, a Canadian Addiction Counsellor with CACCF and is a registered social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
Charles is also a Clinical Fellow of the International Neuropsychoanalysis Society.
He has worked both in private and public settings.
He worked as an Ontario Works Caseworker with the City of Toronto where he provided service to the homeless and youth involved with the criminal justice system. Here Charles learnt to serve each human being with a sense of dignity, regardless of their circumstances. There is beauty in every person, the therapist job is to help the client polish the mirror so they can see the beauty in themselves.
Charles later worked in the City of London where he serviced on a multi-disciplinary team as a Supportive and Spiritual Care practitioner. In this role he brings together counseling techniques to support mind, body and soul. It is his personal belief that wellness is a way of life that must be maintained with greater dedication that taking our cars to the mechanic for regular maintenance.
He enjoys exercising, eating healthily, hanging out with his family and amazing grandchildren. The outdoor is his passion and nature is his playground.
